DIRECTOR (1 OPENING)

You are someone who can independently, but creatively organize a production. You must possess good leadership and organizational skills. Your classmates must look up to you and feel they can trust you with any situation.

You will be responsible for facilitating all aspects of the mock trial, this includes communicating with other class directors

 

Prosecutor and Co-prosecutor

We need  highly qualified lawyers to join The San Mateo County's District Attorney's office. These lawyers will acquire evidence, perform opening and closing statements, directly question, and cross examine witnesses. They will need to know what type of charges to file, legal terminology, and perform memorized speeches.

 

DEFENSE AND CO-DEFENSE ATTORNEYS

Do you believe in, "innocent before proven guilty"? Well if you do, Jack and Roger need you! This position will require you to work extensively with the defendants and witnesses. You will need to memorize speeches , cross examine and direct witnesses, pretty much all the stuff lawyers are required to do.

 

 

 

 

 

  VIDEO TEAM (4 OPENINGS)

This job is only for someone who has personal access to a video camera with parental permission. The videographer creates a documentary of the trial including narrative. This person should have editing capabilities and know how to put together an interesting video of the trial’s events. Members of the team must allocate responsibilities by divvying up roles: videographer, news anchor and or reporter.

SCRAPBOOK TEAM (4 openings)

SCRAP.INC is looking for creative, organized, and cooperative individuals to provide a unique perspective on the trial against Jack Merridew and Roger. These individuals will be required observe the trial, research historical facts, and write character analysis and poems. Individuals must be design oriented and have scrapbook experience.

WITNESSES (4 WITNESSES)

In need of four actors. Your roles will be provided for you on a later date.

 

 NEWSPAPER TEAM (4 OPENINGS)

In need of editors and journalists. Are you a seeker of truth? Do you want to inform others? Are you a good writer? If you answered yes to any of these questions, The San Bruno Gazette wants you.

You will be in charge of the investigative news section of our Gazette. You will observe the trial, conduct interviews, and report the truth to the public.

 

BAILIFF

The Superior Court of San Mateo County is seeking an officer of the law to maintain order in current and future court proceedings. This individual must have a B.S. in Criminal Justice, be able to stand for long periods of time, and maintain a serious demeanor.

 

JUDGE

 

Must be highly qualified. This individual must have knowledge of the law, at least 10 years of experience as a trial lawyer, and know all court procedures. The chosen candidate must be professional at all times.
